Not that long ago, my home was an embarrassing mess, and I was living paycheck to paycheck. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by the amount of work to be done around the house, and to be stressed out by finances.
Like so many busy professional women, I felt like I had to do it all, and be great at everything.

Bringing order to the chaos of life is an ongoing battle. Still sometimes, I lie awake at night thinking about all of the things I have to do, and wondering how I’m going to get them all done.
But I love beauty and order, and the sense of calm they give. Thrifty DIY projects have become something I truly enjoy, and I love sharing creative ideas with others, and being inspired by them.
In this crazy world we’re living in, there are so many things beyond our control. But our homes can be our sanctuaries. By making them beautiful, peaceful retreats, we can create our own little havens.
